The rush to create products and services that are environmentally friendly has inspired many businesses to create products and services that are innovative, captivating and downright cool. All of a sudden, the sustainable market seems to be taking hold. Increasingly, we are seeing products that are simple, elegant, efficient and cutting-edge and the essence of true luxury. They are creating an enjoyable experience while leaving a small environmental impact.

This distinguished panel will examine four areas of this topic. Home environments—lighting, communications, energy use; disposable on-the-go products—such food services for home and office; buildings, and renovations—retrofitting existing home and work spaces to be more energy efficient and innovative in design; and, fashion and lifestyle.

Véronique is the Director of Fashion and a Partner at Modavanti. Modavanti is an online retailer of over 150 designers of fashion and lifestyle products that are sourced not only for their beauty, design, and quality, but that are also manufactured with sustainability in mind — with environmental, economic and social integrity. Prior to Modavanti, her combined interests and experience in international trade, not-for-profit, and fashion led Véronique to found a social enterprise business and boutique, Atelier360 boutique in Greenwich specialized in artisan and sustainable fashion products from around the world. Her interests in sourcing and all things green were sparked from a previous career in commodities. She holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Stanford University.
