About Jim Cornehlson and Merryck & Co.
Jim has a broad base of experience in a wide variety of industries to draw on from 20 years of corporate general management and 20 years of professional services leadership.
Jim moved through Division P&L General Management roles at G.E., McGraw-Hill, and CBS before becoming President and CEO of Las Americas, a Spanish owned media company in the US, now a very hot market. In this capacity, he completed acquisitions, distribution alliances, and new product launches to build the company. As a Practice Leader in two global professional service firms, he worked with Boards on succession and helped to place 25 different CEO's. He has focused on the challenges of the CEO leadership role in a world of change, complexity, and global competition. In particular, he has worked through the issues of new leaders in new roles, often in new companies, new countries, or radically new circumstances.
Jim was a founding Board Member of the Information Industry Association for Internet and database information companies and IACPR, for talent management leaders. He is on the AMA HR Council and the Board for the New York affiliate of the Human Resources Planning Society. About Colombe Nicholas

Colombe M. Nicholas has distinguished herself as one of the most influential leaders in the international fashion and retail industries. Her career, which spans more than 25 years, includes posts at the helm of Anne Klein, Giorgio Armani, and Christian Dior. She is currently a consultant with Financo Global Consulting, a firm that identifies expansion opportunities and provides growth advice to businesses. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Mills Corporation, Tandy Brand Accessories, Inc. and a Trustee of the University of Dayton.
Prior to joining Financo, Ms. Nicholas was President and CEO of the Anne Klein Company. During her three-year tenure at Anne Klein, she revitalized the company by retooling and repositioning the Anne Klein brand. Prior to that, Ms. Nicholas served as President and COO of Giorgio Armani Fashion Corporation where she tripled the size of the women's division in less than three years. Before Giorgio Armani, Ms. Nicholas served as the president and CEO of Christian Dior, New York, where from 1980 to 1988, she increased sales from $125 million to $425 million. In tandem with her leadership at Christian Dior, she also headed up Christian Lacroix-USA, which is owned by LVMH, the same company that owns Christian Dior. Prior to Christian Dior, Ms. Nicholas spent ten years in the retail industry in various executive positions, working for Macy's, Bloomingdales and Bonwit Teller.
Ms. Nicholas received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dayton, where she currently serves on the Board of Trustees. In addition to her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Law, she also holds an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Bryant College.
Ms. Nicholas resides with her family in New York City. She is married to a contemporary art dealer and the mother of her two children.
