I'm delighted to announce that, thanks to The Consul General of The Principality of Monaco/Director the Monaco Government Tourist Office, Maguy Maccario Doyle, and Mr. Bernard Lambert, CEO, Societe des Bains de Mer, on November 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 at the newly-built (and need I say luxurious) Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, we will be holding the 5th Luxury Marketing Council members' conclave for members worldwide our first international gathering.

Our goal as a group over the four days will be to:

* Provide the entire group with an excellent sense of those attending and their businesses (everyone will be asked to submit a bio (please include personal interests, passions, avocations) in advance which everyone will receive in advance and much of our first day will be dedicated to having everyone speak about themselves and their companies.)
* Define and rank the critical issues and challenges that are highest on the agendas of those attending.
* Build a strong foundation for ongoing, lasting, profitable relationships personal and business that will enhance participants' marketing programs; provide a broader strategic understanding of critical issues, changes in the marketplace, best customers, and best marketing practices; and "force bloom" partnerships and collaborations that will dramatically increase revenues as well as loyalty and share of spend for "best customers."
* Provide a highly interactive venue the primary purpose of which will be on a mutually agreed upon, self selecting basis to creatively "force bloom" marketing initiatives (partnerships and collaborations) that will grow revenues, increase loyalty and number of 'best customers,' on a cost effective basis for all involved.
* Have a great time together in the process.

Unlike most luxury summits, ours will not be a succession of speakers and panels with the "audience" being relegated to "receivers of content" status. In Monaco, we will be the content: our issues, our intuitions, our insights, our plans, our strategies and tactics for growing our businesses.

Our plan is to make our three working days (one full, first day November 15, 8:30 to 4 p.m.; and two full mornings through working/buffet lunches until 2 p.m. on November 16 and until 1 p.m. on November 17) highly interactive and rich in giving everyone attending the opportunity to interact and find "win wins" together on a customized basis as we are able to orchestrate.

We will punctuate our discussions with a few key speakers, presentations, or panels, but the primary focus will be on providing a strategic level of discussion on an intimate basis. These discussions will be unprecedented in comparison with most luxury industry gatherings and very much "outside the box" in terms of affording personalized and customized opportunities for everyone to come away with real initiatives that will be designed by participants (on a mutually agreeable basis) working closely together, real time to enhance everyone's bottom lines.

For those interested, we will orchestrate one-on-one sessions (half hour "sprints") on the afternoons of November 16 and 17, the goal of which will be to provide individuals opportunities where the interest is mutual to get to know one another better and hopefully define ways of working profitably together going forward.

Our calendar for the remaining three working days is as follows:

November 15

* 7:30-8:30 a.m.: Breakfast for all
* 8:30-4 p.m.: Working sessions including buffet/working lunch for ALL including spouses/companions

Our first day will be spent setting the stage/building a foundation:

* Having each person attending introduce himself, his company, and what he is open to offering as a "bargaining chip" in working with other members (physical space, access to data base, discount products/services, openness to sharing costs of initiatives etc.) so that everyone will have a good feeling for all attending
* In breakout groups (no companies will be seated with competitors), defining critical issues within each group and reporting back to the assembly
* 4 p.m.-onwards: Free time to socialize, or for "one-on-one" meetings with companies who would like to meet formally and explore opportunities together
* Cocktail Reception and Dinner graciously offered by Mr. Jean Claude Messant, General Director of the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo

November 16

* 7:30-8:30 a.m.: Breakfast for all
* 8:30-2 p.m.: Working sessions including buffet/working lunch for ALL including spouses/companions
* 4 p.m.-onwards: Free time to socialize, or for "one-on-one" meetings with companies who would like to meet formally and explore opportunities together
* Evening: "Dine around" on an "as interested" basis (the hotel concierge will facilitate the afternoon activities and evening dinner plans for groups or individuals on an "as desired, self-selecting" basis)

November 17

* 7:30-8:30 a.m.: Breakfast for all
* 8:30 to 1 p.m.: Working sessions including buffet/working lunch for ALL including spouses/companions
* 4 p.m.-onwards: Free time to socialize, or for "one-on-one" meetings with companies who would like to meet formally and explore opportunities together
* Evening: Concluding gala dinner and evening strictly social for all
