Rolling out the Red Carpet: Celebrity PR and Special Events

Presented By:red carpet pic
PR Maven Peggy Siegal

Generously Hosted by NASDAQ OMX Group

The Luxury Marketing Council has the pleasure of welcoming one of New York's most famous publicists, Peggy Siegal, to speak on August 6th and share her insights in the world of celebrity PR and special events.

Peggy will be talking about her recent ventures in movie premiers and sponsorship opportunities that will allow your brand to reach the right target audience. Variety Magazine calls her "a one-woman marketing department, the queen of New York buzz." In 2007 she estimates she put on 100 events, each hosting between 100 - 1000 people, from film screenings and premiers to gala charity dinners.

Peggy's years of experience and her famous list of the "who's who" of Manhattan have made her the "go to" woman for movie launches and parties for the past 25+ years. Aligning your brand with the right audiences and the right events is an important part of today's marketing mix - Peggy's "list" includes key power players from the literati to glitterati, Wall Street to high street fashionistas. Movies she has recently worked on include The Kite Runner, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, American Gangster, There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Mamma Mia!, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, HBO's “Recount,” “John Adams” (mini series), “Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired,” “Leatherhead” …and of course the list goes on.

An event not to be missed by anyone interested in building their brands image and brand awareness, we hope you will be able to join us in warmly welcoming the "Queen of New York Buzz."

About Peggy Siegal

peggy siegalPeggy Siegal is one of New York’s most successful publicists. Over the past twenty years, Peggy Siegal is a name that registers, and often with an exclamation mark in the highest circles and along Manhattan’s corridors of power.

In the late 1980s, when many studios streamlined and moved their publicity departments to Los Angeles, Peggy created a business niche by hosting small screenings and dinners for the influential New York press. For years, studios have engaged Peggy for her unmatched ability to get journalists, socialites and veteran film and stage professionals into film-screening seats.

A Peggy Siegal screening is an important social event in New York as she knows how to attract the perfect audiences for word-of-mouth screenings. Her contact list is a thorough cross-section of the heavy-hitters who make up the New York scene, be it society, show business, publishing, fashion, Wall Street or the billionaires boys’ club.

The Peggy Siegal Scene: A new picture, pre-release, in one of several private screening rooms in Manhattan, filled to capacity with “names,” “somebodies” followed by, after the picture, a sit-down dinner for 75 or 100 (often with placement at Le Cirque, or the Four Seasons, or the Plaza Athenee or any number of the chicest spots in town).

Occasionally she takes her show on the road and stages her screening soirees in the Hamptons where the dinner parties are not only star-kissed but sun-kissed. If a picture doesn’t have a buzz, she’ll buzz it, and it’s all caviar and champagne.
