Alan Rambam brings years of youth expertise and knowledge as he builds a new practice area dedicated exclusively to reaching and engaging young people. Current clients for the group include Cingular Wireless and DKNY Kids.
Before joining Fleishman-Hillard, Mr. Rambam started the youth marketing firm Zoot Suit, and in just three years, he grew the agency from a single proprietorship into a multimillion-dollar agency and division of Gillespie/McCann Erickson (Interpublic) with a client base that included Crayola, Tommy Hilfiger, and Toys "R" Us, Inc.
During the Clinton administration, Mr. Rambam was appointed as the director for the National Youth Campaign for the White House's National Campaign Against Youth Violence (NCAYV). The campaign was created to develop a comprehensive national campaign strategy and to harness private and governmental resources to address the issue of youth violence.
Mr. Rambam also founded the nonprofit organization SHiNE where he put to use his marketing acumen, management skills, and contacts to help make the world a better place for young people. In just three years, he secured $6 million in youth cause-marketing partnerships/sponsorships and $30 million in media for this startup organization from the icons of today's youth segment, including Procter & Gamble, Kodak, Levi's, AOL Time Warner, MTV, and Nintendo.
April Dinwoodie, Vice President
April Dinwoodie joined Fleishman-Hillard as a Managing Supervisor in July 2004. As part of the developing Active Marketing practice group, April is leading the I-marketing charge. Clients include; Cingular Wireless, Yahoo!, Hasbro, and Fortunoff.
Before joining Fleishman-Hillard, April worked as a marketing consultant with a National Hockey League (NHL) clothing licensee, She worked to create a brand identity for the company, promotional programs both on and off line and worked directly with the NHL to uphold the standards and integrity of the team trademarks and initiatives.
April's brand and consumer direct experience comes from years in fashion retail marketing at Nine West Group, Kenneth Cole Productions Inc., and Nautica Enterprises. While working with such brands April has become keenly aware of the power of trends in overall marketing and branding as well as the leading-edge applications and communication tools to get marketing messages out to consumers.
