New York Chapter - Upcoming Event

Today, more than two million New Yorkers across the five boroughs rely on emergency food programs to put food on the table for their families. The vast majority are children, the elderly, women, and the working poor.
The Food Bank helps provide 250,000 free meals a day for New Yorkers who otherwise would go hungry. Annually they provide 68 million pounds of food to approximately 1,200 emergency and community food programs — including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, low-income daycare centers, Kids Cafes and senior, youth, rehabilitation, and outreach centers.
Today, the Food Bank For New York City is one of the largest food banks in the country and a leading distributor of free fresh produce. They are also the only food bank serving all of New York City. To date Food Bank NY has collected, warehoused, and distributed more than 744 million pounds of food for the city's needy.
Please join us on June 19th for a social event being held at the newly re-vamped downtown Suba restaurant for a tapas and cocktail evening while we learn more about what we can do to help this worthy cause.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Warmest,
Greg
