We invite you to join us on Wednesday, August 15th at Battery Gardens where Luxury Marketing Council members can “Enjoy a Taste of the Good Life” by partaking of a complimentary, smaller scale version of the "Cook. Eat. Drink. Live" experience. On August 15th you can sample a signature dish at the tasting table, enjoy a magnificent view of the harbor and tease your taste buds while learning about the gastronomic possibilities and discounts offered, to you or to your epicurious clients, for the “Cook. Eat. Drink. Live” main event in October.

Cook. Eat. Drink. Live - the ultimate luxury epicurean weekend makes its debut in the heart of New York City from October 25 - October 27, 2007 at Pier 94. This exclusive and modern culinary event will feature appearances from the country's premier chefs, along with the City's largest sampling of ultra-premium gourmet foods and spirits.
By joining us on August 15th to Enjoy a Taste of the Good Life, you will have a unique opportunity to sample a small part of what will make the “Cook. Eat. Drink. Live main event in October so special.

At a main stage seating 600, top culinary talents perform magical demonstrations on new culinary techniques. Confirmed chefs include Ilan Hall (winner, Bravo Series Top Chef 2), Josh DeChellis (sumile sushi), Paul Liebrandt (formerly of Gilt), Will Goldfarb (Room 4 Dessert), Michael Laiskonis (Le Bernardin), Sam Talbot (Top Chef 2), Franklin Becker (Brasserie), Brad Farmerie (PUBLIC), Sam Mason (Tailor), Marc Orfaly (Pigalle), Amanda Freitag (Gusto), Yvan Lemoine, and George Mendes. Enroll in the Spice Lab with Angelo Sosa and learn to create your own spice mixtures at home using fresh ingredients. Additional presenters will be added to the roster each week.

Learn to make sushi? Sample caviar? This Event will be the high-end foodie's fantasy come true. A tasting pavilion offers samples of heavenly dishes prepared by staff from New York's top restaurants. The pavilion also offers consumers the opportunity to interact with the purveyors that supply these kitchens with the fresh fish, finest meats and other items that make New York dining so extraordinary. Intimate demonstrations and tastings explore topics like chemistry of flavor and fusion. Chefs can lean how to bottle and market one of their own sauces, or write their own cookbook.

Sample over 100 wines, beers, spirits and champagnes from around the world. Attend focused wine tastings provided by the Grape Exchange (New Rochelle, NY) and meet the winemakers that bring these exquisite selections from vine to table. The wine programs by Grape Exchange are designed to expand even the most sophisticated palate. Learn how to make chocolate and espresso cocktails in the Real Coffee Co. espresso lounge. Learn about the growing popularity of premium Mezcal with Junior Merino, Master Mixologist (The Liquid Chef, Inc.). Chris Cardone (Bartenders Academy of NY) will spin, twirl and mix while other talented bar chefs such as Brian McGrory (PUBLIC) and Abdul Tabini (Odeon) teach the art of creating unique cocktails in focused workshops.

What is organic? What is "green"? Discover what truly makes a product organic and why organic products are creating so much buzz in the specialty food industry. Visit the CENYC mini-Greenmarket. Learn to apply basic principles to your lifestyle that contribute to a "greener" environment. Taste the difference between conventional and all-natural or organic products, and meet the farmers who grow them. Understand the importance of buying local ingredients and what makes them a superb addition to everyday recipes. A special Children's Pavilion will be created to inspire us all to teach them ... to cook better, to eat better, to drink better, to live better.

October's Event Components Will Include:
Main Stage - General sessions with full kitchen and seating for over 600 people with Live Chef demonstrations
Seminar/Workshop rooms – 4 smaller, more intimate environments for hands-on workshops and tastings
Tasting Pavilion – For upscale restaurants, beer, wine and spirits tastings
Purchasing Pavilion – Specialty products and upscale kitchen equipment. Consumers will be able to purchase Chef-quality meats and seafoods from top NY purveyors (purchasing options previously available only to Chefs)
Green/Organic Pavilion – Tastings of organic & all-natural foods & beverages. A mini CENYC Greenmarket. Seminars and workshops focusing on sustainability and the basics on organic foods
Internet Café/Espresso Lounge – A lounge area with computers and an espresso bar serving cappuccinos and espresso shots by Real Coffee Co.
• Spirits Bar & Tasting Area – demonstrations and tastings
• Wine Bar & Tasting Area – demonstrations and tastings. Meet the winemakers. Presented by the Grape Exchange (New Rochelle)
